Roughnecks
Roughnecks was a BBC television series that ran over two series between 1994 and 1995 on BBC One. The show centred on the working and personal lives of those who worked on the fictional oil rig “The Osprey Explorer” in the North Sea. Offshore filming was undertaken on the oil rig Dan Countess which was not in use at the time.
The cast included Liam Cunningham, Teresa Banham, James Cosmo, Bruce Jones, Clive Russell, Ricky Tomlinson, Paul Copley and Ashley Jensen. It was created by the former Tomorrow’s World presenter, Kieran Prendiville and the theme tune was written by the American TV composer Mike Post.

Heartburn Hotel
Heartburn Hotel was a British sitcom which ran for two series, with thirteen episodes, on BBC television in 1998 – 2000, each series was 6 episodes long and one special was aired in December 1998. The series was both produced and distributed by the BBC and shown nationwide during its airing.
The programme is set in the Olympic Hotel, pre-named on the hope of the successful bid for the UK to host the 1992 Olympic Games. The series centres on the owner and the regular occupants to the hotel.
The show was written by John Sullivan and starred Tim Healy.
