The series has a spin-off feature length movie, Fat Pizza, released in 2003, and a best-of highlights video/DVD that featured previously unreleased footage and a schoolies exposé, released in 2004. In addition to this, a theatre show entitled “Fat Pizza”, starring several characters from the show, has toured the Australian east coast.

    Through ironic and self-conscious references, Pizza involves themes of ethnicity and stereotypes, cars, sex, illicit drugs, and violence to produce its sometimes mean-spirited dark humour.

    The television program is noted for its frequent cameo appearances of numerous Australian celebrities of all varieties, including actors, comedians, professional athletes, and other public figures.

    Dirtgirlworld, stylized as dirtgirlworld, was a Canadian and Australian children’s television series created by Cate McQuillen and Hewey Eustace of Mememe Productions. Visually designed by Jean Camden, James Hackett and Cate McQuillen, it was animated by Hackett Films in Australia and Spin Productions in Canada. The show is co-produced by Mememe Productions and Decode Entertainment. It was commissioned by CBeebies, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Kids’ CBC stopped airing the show on September 2, 2011.

    Fifty-two eleven minute episodes were commissioned. The show first aired on CBC on October 5, 2009, on CBeebies on November 2, 2009, and on ABC on December 4, 2009. It started airing in the United States on the cable channel PBS Kids Sprout, on April 22, 2010.

    The series uses 3D CGI animation combined with photomontage. The main characters are Dirtgirl and Scrapboy, as well as their friends Ken, Grubby, and Hayman.

On 1 November 2012, a film based on the series was released in Australian cinemas, titled Housos vs. Authority. On 9 September 2012 it was announced that Housos would return for a second series, which premiered 22 July 2013.
