    Spider-Man

Spider-Man is a Japanese live-action television series produced by Toei Company, loosely based on Marvel’s Spider-Man character. The series lasted 41 episodes, which aired on the Wednesday 19:30 JST time slot of Tokyo Channel 12 from May 17, 1978, to March 14, 1979. A theatrical episode was also shown in the Toei Manga Matsuri film festival on July 22, 1978. From March 5 to December 24, 2009, Marvel uploaded English subtitled versions of all 41 episodes and the movie on their official website.

While Toei’s version of the character wore the same costume as his Marvel counterpart, the show’s storyline and the origin of the character’s powers deviated completely from the source material. In addition to fighting by himself, this incarnation of Spider-Man also piloted a giant robot known as Leopardon, which he would summon to thwart off enlarged versions of the show’s monsters. Toei would adopt the giant robot concept in subsequent incarnations of their own Super Sentai franchise.

    Butterflies

Butterflies was a British sitcom series written by Carla Lane broadcast on BBC2 from 1978–83.

The situation was the day-to-day life of the Parkinson family in a bittersweet style. There were both traditional comedy sources and more unusual sources such as Ria’s unconsummated relationship with the outwardly-successful Leonard. Ria was still in love with her husband, Ben, and had raised two potentially fine sons, yet found herself dissatisfied and in need of something more. Throughout the series Ria searched for that “something more” and found some solace in her unconventional friendship with Leonard. In a 2002 interview, Carla Lane explained, “I wanted to write a comedy about a woman contemplating adultery.”

In the first episode, an expository discussion between Ria and Leonard alludes to the significance of the series’ title: “We are all kids chasing butterflies. You see it, you want it, you grab it, and there it is, all squashed in your hand.” She adds, “I am one of the few lucky ones, I have a pleasant house, a pleasant man and two pleasant sons. My butterfly didn’t get squashed.” Ria’s husband Ben collects and studies butterflies.

The Incredible Hulk is an American television series based on the Marvel Comics character, the Hulk. The series aired on the CBS television network and starred Bill Bixby as David Banner, Lou Ferrigno as the Hulk, and Jack Colvin as Jack McGee.

In the TV series, Dr. David Banner, a widowed physician and scientist, who is presumed dead, travels across America under assumed names, and finds himself in positions where he helps others in need despite his terrible secret: in times of extreme anger, he transforms into a huge, incredibly strong green creature, who has been given the name “The Hulk”. In his travels, Banner earns money by working temporary jobs while searching for a way to control his condition.

The series was originally broadcast by CBS from 1978 to 1982, with 82 episodes over five seasons. The two-hour pilot movie, which established the Hulk’s origins, aired on November 4, 1977. It was developed and produced by Kenneth Johnson, who also wrote or directed some episodes.

After the series ended, the fate of David Banner was a cliffhanger until 1988. The franchise was purchased from CBS by rival NBC. They produced three made-for-television films: The Incredible Hulk Returns, The Trial of the Incredible Hulk and The Death of the Incredible Hulk. Since its debut, The Incredible Hulk series has garnered a worldwide fan base.
