Blazing Famiglia (2012)
“Blazing Famiglia” centers around a family of former teenage gangsters. Tetsu Hino (Yoshimi Tokui) was once the leader of the most feared motorcycle gang in the Kanto area. One day, Tetsu and his old biker gang gather together again after the daughter of a member is assaulted. Tetsu, worried about his day to day life, nevertheless regains the passion from his biker days. Tetsu then finds out that Ken Igarashi (Jun Murakami) is the man behind the attack. Ken Igarashi has had a grudge against Tetsu for a long time.

The End of Summer (2013)
The story, set in the heady post-war 50s into the early 60s , revolves around a love triangle between Tomoko, long playing the mistress to married older writer Shitto (Kaoru Kobayashi) and the new stud who comes into her life, Ryota Kinoshita (Gou Ayano). Tomoko (Hikari Mitsushima) is sick and tired of her relationship with writer Shingo, who is married and has children. Shingo is a talented writer, but has yet to be recognized by the public. Tomoko then enters into a sexual relationship with younger man Ryota Kinoshita, but Tomoko is not satisfied.

Dias Police: Dirty Yellow Boys (2016)
About 150,000 illegal entrants live in Tokyo. They are not recognised as refugees and live in poor conditions. To protect themselves, the illegals create a secret organisation. The organisation has a bank which Japanese Financial Services Agency is not involved with, a hospital that is not authorized by Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare and an illegals police force called “Dias Police.” The only police officer in the organisation is Saki Kubozuka (Shota Matsuda). His age and nationality is unknown. Saki Kubozuka does not speak much, but he has a warm heart and strong sense of justice. He takes care of the weak and tries to maintain public order.

Unable to watch Haruko suffer any longer, the parents decide to end Zoroku’s misery themselves. Haruko tries to save her brother, and they leave home, but what comes afterward?

Sketches of Kaitan City (2010)
The seaside city of Kaitan is not a happy place – the shipyard is downsizing due to poor economic conditions, and the city’s residents are about to face another harsh northern winter. Sketches of Kaitan City offers five of the many stories concurrently happening in this city – A shipyard worker (Takehara Pistol) who has lost his job and can’t afford to take care of his younger sister (Tanimura Mitsuki), an old woman (Nakazato Aki) who refuses to give up her home for redevelopment facing forced eviction, a planetarium owner (Kobayashi Kaoru) whose relationship with his family is quickly deteriorating, a young owner of a gas cylinder company (Kase Ryo) with plenty to be frustrated about, and a streetcar driver (Nishibori Shigeki) whose only son (Miura Masaki) refuses to visit him on a trip home from Tokyo. These characters may not seem like they have much to celebrate about on this New Year’s Eve, but they each discover their own way to continue their lives.
