Front Page (1990)
Hui, an owner (Michael Hui) of a Hong Kong tabloid magazine company hires martial artist Bill Lee (Sam Hui) to help him get a good headliner for a magazine story to, hopefully, save his failing business. In the process, Bill meets San-San (Catherine Hung Yan), the girlfriend of a jewelry business owner. After thinking that this would make a great headliner, Bill feels sorry for San-San because of her troubled life: her mother has cancer, her brother is mentally disabled and her boyfriend prefers his work over her, and thus is reluctant to publish her story, putting the tabloid company’s fate in his hands.

Forever Young (1989)
Five orphans, five friends. They grow up together, still good friends, and travel to Thailand, where a witch doctor has invented a brew which returns one to childhood permanently. Robberts attack and force the five to test the brew. Rescue comes after four of them have shrunk into child sizes, leaving Bo the only adult. The doctor forgets how to reverse the process and the quintet return to Hong Kong. Teacher Wong takes the four children into a primary school.

Mr Coconut (1989)
Michael Hui plays the lovable “Mr. Coconut”, who arrives in town from Hainan China where he lived with his coconuts. Here in the sophisticated urban jungles of Hong Kong. “Mr. Coconut” has finally reunited with his family, as he endures Hong Kong Streets of the late 1980s, filled with stock and property gamblers, heavy mobile phones etc….. “Mr. Coconut”, a Hong Kong Lunar New Year film classic, is also Michael’s first 30 million box office hit in which he received the Best Actor Nomination in 1989.

Chocolate Inspector (1986)
Inspector Chu (Chocolate) is an idiot to rival Inspector Clouseau. After he fails to catch a car-park full of thieves he is demoted to the missing persons squad, only to be faced with the kidnapping of the son of the star of a TV cooking show. Inspector Chocolate (so called because of his fondness for Smarties) bungles the case, fails to dance the tango and interferes with the Miss Hong Kong pageant in his attempts to solve the case

Plain Jane to the Rescue (1982)
Jane, with plain looks but a heart of gold, is always in between jobs. Once she gets a job, her knack for creating awkward situations immediately loses it for her. Ricky is her suitor, but he gets nowhere as the girl has no time for love. So Ricky goes along with her in job hunting. Somehow, Jane lands on a job as governess. Not to a child, but to an uncouth very old, very rich man who still wants to lead the life of his poor, uncivilized youth. His son is now running the old man’s millions. He wants to bring up the father the civilized way. And he wants to take over the whole city through take-over deals. He is ruthless and has thrown thousands into the streets.

Happy Din Don (1986)
Michael is a guitarist in a night club, but his indulgence in gambling costs him his job. He is kicked out of the band. Wandering in an alley, he accidentally overhears a gang of drug dealers plotting. He is caught as he tries to get away. Michael seeks the help of his roommate, Roger who is the manager of a girls band preparing to go on a performing tour to Thailand. Roger takes Michael as a band member so that he can get away. While in Thailand, Michael falls in love with the leading female singer of the band. He tries all sorts of ways to gain her attention and love, while keeping one jump ahead of pursuing gangsters…
