Rendu (2006)
Shakti (Madhavan) is a young man from a village, with no job but tons of ambition and dreams. As he sees his life pass him by, stuck in a rut in his hometown, he decides that he will try his fortunes elsewhere. Chennai beckons him and off goes Shakti, to join his uncle Kirikalam (Vadivelu), who has a stall of magic tricks at an exhibition. No, Kirikalam is not really a magician, but is posing as one and his amateurish tricks don’t exactly bring in big crowds.

Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram (2007)
Parattai Engira Azhagu Sundaram is a 2007 Tamil-language drama film directed by Suresh Krishna. It stars Dhanush in the lead role along with Meera Jasmine and Archana. The film is a remake of the successful 2005 Kannada film Jogi directed by Prem and features the original music scored by Gurukiran.[1] The film revolves around a woman who comes to the city from her village in search of her presumably lost son. Released on 27 April 2007, the film couldn’t repeat the success of its original version.

Jayam Kondaan (2008)
Jayam Kondaan (Tamil: ஜெயம் கொண்டான் English: The victor) is a 2008 Tamil action and romantic film. Directed and co-written by Kannan and produced by T. G. Thiyagarajan it stars Vinay Rai, Bhavana Balachandran and Lekha Washington in the lead roles. Vivek and Kishore also appeared. The film revolves around an Information technology professional, who returns to Chennai from London, to set up his own business. He feels if one has to reach his goal in life it is better to win over your enemies and take them along. He finds out that his late father had another family, and that his step sister wants to steal his home. After clashes with his sister, another tragedy occurs with a rowdy,[vague] who wants to make vendetta with the family. The film follows the sibling relationship and the threat from the rowdy.

Vinayakudu (2008)
Karthik (Krishnudu), the obese guy joins in an ad designing company. Girls tend to keep him away from them due to his odd personality. He finds a girl Kalpana (Sonia) interesting in that company. She too shuns him initially and also cracks lots of jokes on his physical appearance. But the soft hearted Karthik wins the heart of arrogant Kalpana with his immaculate attitude. Finally, the egoistic Kalpana falls in love with Karthik unknowingly. On the other hand, the love track of Sandhya (Poonam) and Altaf (Surya Tej) runs separately. Shalini (Ankitha) is a character that’s used as catalyst to elevate the character of Karthik.

Kannan that stars Jeeva, Nandha and Taapsee Pannu in lead roles. Principal photography began on August 27, 2010,[1] and the film is expected to release in 2011.[2]

Vaamanan (Tamil: வாமனன்) is a 2009 Tamil action thriller film written and directed by debutant I. Ahmed, who worked as an erstwhile assistant to Kadhir, and starring Jai and newcomer Priya Anand. Produced by P. Kabilan of Dream Valley Corporation, the film features Rahman, Lakshmi Rai, Urvashi, Sampath Raj and ‘Thalaivaasal’ Vijay in supporting roles, with film score and soundtrack by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while the camera was handled by Arvind Krishna. The film was released on 10 July 2009. The story of the film resembles the English movie Following (1998), and the climax resembles a Hollywood movie Enemy of the State (1998).
