Aai (2004)
Aei movie begins with Sakthivel (Sarath Kumar) selling electrical accessories along with his friend Palani (Vadivelu) leading a peaceful life at Palani. He comes across Anjali (Nameedha) and falls in love with her.Sakthivel’s past is made to unfold in a flashback. He is a military officer who joins his friend Mani (Kalabhavan Mani) on a vacation. The duo decides to reform the society and cleanse the police department by taking as hostage a few corrupt police officers.

Diwan (2003)
Raghavan (Sarathkumar) and Velu (Vadivelu) work as cooks in a non-veg hotel. Raghavan loves Geetha (Kiran) who is the daughter of a rich man (Vijayan), but her father is against this love and insults him as a poor man. Raghavan challenges that he will be rich in a year. There is a subplot in the story, for Meenakshi (Sharmili), a daughter from a rich family; she is the apple of the eye of the family. Meenakshi ran home with her lover Raju, who worked as a driver to her house. He tells that his friend Dinesh will help them. However, Raju escaped because he saw a bad dream where he is killed by her family as if it will happen in reality. Due to that he vanishes. Raghavan understood her plight and helps her.

Arasu (2003)
Arasu movie is the story of Thirunavukkarasu(Sarathkumar) who is a mild mannered, quiet man, arrives at the agrahaaram in Kumbakonam to take up the job of handling accounts at the temple. He is helped by the family of Velu Shastri(‘Delhi’ Ganesh) and Velu Shastri’s daughter Meera(Simran) falls for him too.But news of a dangerous rowdy being released from a nearby jail brings out the real Arasu – a man who is out to take revenge on the men responsible for several atrocities, including the murder of his parents(Sarathkumar and Roja).

Aaru (2005)
Aarumugam, nicknamed Aaru, is a thug and dealmaker with a band of boys handpicked from the slums of Chennai. Aaru’s mentor Viswanathan protects him, because Aaru gives him the violent undercover he needs. When Vishwanthan declares war on his bitter rival Reddy, Aaru assists him. But Vishwanthan betrays him, resulting in the deaths of Aaru’s subordinates. Aaru thus realizes Viswanathan’s true, evil nature and vows to destroy his power. There is also a subplot involving Aaru’s romance with the college student Maha.

Raja (2002)
Ajith is paranoid about getting married. Jyothika arrives at his place and begins to compel him to get married to her. The reason: Ajith was pouring his love out to someone else thinking that she was Jyothika! Under the cover of darkness Jyothika confesses her love for Ajith. Thinking that it was Priyanka Trivedi who was speaking to him, Ajith begins to love her. Suddenly, a villain pops out of nowhere and causes the death of Priyanka. Then, finally, after dilly dallying for a very long time, the story ends with the coming together of the lead pair of Ajith and Jyothika.

Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi (2006)
Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi is a comical satire on the Machiavellian politics practiced in the late 18th century. In a faraway South Indian kingdom of Cholapuram Paalayam the king (Nagesh) and queen (Manorama) are longing for a child, as all their 22 children have died at birth. Little do they know that the queen’s brother Rajaguru Sangilimaayan (Nassar) is behind the death of their children, as he wants to be the next ruler. But when the queen gives birth to twins; based on instructions from an astrologer, Rajaguru orders the smarter one to be killed and the dimwit twin is brought up under his bullying. The child is named 23 am Pulikesi (Vadivelu). What happens when the two twins meet later in life forms the rest of the plot.

Rendu (2006)
Shakti (Madhavan) is a young man from a village, with no job but tons of ambition and dreams. As he sees his life pass him by, stuck in a rut in his hometown, he decides that he will try his fortunes elsewhere. Chennai beckons him and off goes Shakti, to join his uncle Kirikalam (Vadivelu), who has a stall of magic tricks at an exhibition. Manikanda (2007)
Based in Mumbai, Raja (Arjun) lives a violent yet poor lifestyle along with his father, Banwarilal. He meets with and comes to the rescue of Madurai/Mahendrapur-based belle, Mahalakshmi/Madhumita (Jyotika), and both fall in love with each other. When she returns home, her dad (Ashish Vidyarthi) finds that she is in love with Raja, instantly approves of him, and asks her to invite him, which she does. Raja accordingly arrives to meet her family – and it is this arrival that will pit him against goons dispatched by none other than Mahalakshmi’s dad, who wants him dead – at any and all costs.
